Frozen and Processed

Day 18 (Sacramento/Groveland, CA)

After scarfing down some bad coffee and the free hotel breakfast, Liza and I walked to Starbucks while Chris hit the hot tub to see if his back/hip would loosen up for the ride to the outskirts of Yosemite. We dropped Liza off at the Sacramento airport and made the 3 hour drive to Goveland, CA, where we would be staying the night. We stopped for lunch in Copperopolis, which can only be described as something out of Back To the Future. Words wouldn’t do it justice. We checked into the Best Value Inn and headed next door to the only restaurant in town. Chris was eyeing the chicken fried steak on the menu and asked the waitress if it was any good. I always laugh when people ask this question. Do you really think they would tell you something on the menu was no good? Well…..when Chris asked how the chicken friend steak was, she replied, “frozen and processed, but otherwise not too bad”. Guess I was wrong. He ordered a burger instead.
